Announcing the 2023 Orpheus MeadFest Competition!
With the success of the last two years’ virtual competition, Orpheus is holding the 2023 competition with virtual judging.

The Competition Calendar:

  • The competition early registration period opens on Monday, May 1, 2023.
  • The registration deadline is Friday, June 9, 2023.
  • Entries will be accepted from Friday, May 22, 2023–Sunday, June 11, 2023.
  • Deadline: All entries must be registered, paid for, and received at one of our drop-off/ship-to locations by the end of business on Sunday, June 11.
  • The Virtual Judging Period is June 24–July 14.
  • All winners will be announced at the Orpheus MeadFest Tasting and Awards Ceremony on Saturday, July 22, 2023.

Oversized and unusual bottles are allowed provided they meet the rules for labeling. Because the judges are in separate locations for virtual judging, they cannot decant entries into judging portions.
